Steven High est professeur d’histoire et le fondateur du Centre d’histoire orale et de récits numérisés à l’Université Concordia. Il a publié plusieurs ouvrages, incluant Deindustrializing Montreal: Entangled Histories of Race, Residence and Class qui a obtenu plusieurs prix. Il est directeur du projet « La Désindustrialisation et la politique de notre temps » (DéPOT) qui examine les réponses politiques à la désindustrialisation ainsi que ses racines historiques et expériences vécues. DéPOT est un partenariat entre plus de 35 musées industriels, archives du travail, syndicats et autres organisations a travers l’Italie, la France, l’Allemagne, le Royaume-Uni, le Canada, et les États-Unis.
